Before computers and e-readers, books were the everyday reading platform, and one of the most commonly used ways to indicate that a book was your book and not someone else’s book was to stamp it with a decorative label known as an ex libris (Latin for “From the books of…”), followed by your name.

This is Albert Einstein’s ex libris. How fucking awesome is that? Most likely a sketch from one of his notebooks, right? I would love to know what Einstein was working on when he drew this.
